On Saturday we will be releasing the 2009 Touriga!
Touriga Nacional is a Portuguese varietal mainly used in making Port wines. It is to be Portugal’s finest varietal. Due to the intense fruit character we not only make a varietal wine, but also we use Touriga as a blender in many of our premier wines.
The 2009 Touriga is blended with 7% Cabernet Franc for some added complexity. This wine exhibits aromas of blue berries and red cherries. The palate is fruit forward with a touch of smokiness integrated with ripe tannins that will warrant cellaring for 3-5 years.
Then on Sunday we will have a limited release of the 2009 Viognier Estate Reserve!
Ellen Crosby, the author of the Merlot Murders, Chardonnay Charade, Bordeaux Betrayal and Riesling Retribution will be in the tasting room this Sunday from 1-4 to sign copies of her latest novel, The Viognier Vendetta. Have a chance to meet the author and buy the 2009 Viognier Estate Reserve before we officially release this award-winning wine.
Don’t forget that will we still have “Yappy Hours” on Sunday from 12-5!!
